Building Resilient People and Resilient Cultures

I have spent nearly two decades working across industries, countries, and cultures. And the one thing I know for certain is this: culture is no coincidence. It is a culmination of belief, biology, and behaviour. Get those three things right, and everything else follows.
Luke Evans, Founder of Emotive Work

The Foundation

At Emotive Work, everything we do is built on three fundamental truths:

Culture is behaviour repeated.

The habits, choices, and interactions you reinforce daily shape the environment you work in. Culture is not what you say it is. It is what you do, consistently, over time.

Resilience is biology before behaviour.

Your ability to handle stress, navigate challenge, and adapt is shaped by your nervous system before your mindset. When we understand this, we stop blaming people for struggling and start building the conditions that help them thrive.

Belief drives everything.

What you believe about yourself, your team, and your organisation shapes every action you take. Shift the belief, and the behaviour follows.

These are not abstract concepts. They are the practical foundation of every program, workshop, and conversation Emotive Work delivers. And they work for the individual and the collective.

MY STORY

Emotive Work was founded with

a simple yet profound purpose —

to help people find meaning through service.

For years I felt caught between two worlds.

The corporate, results-driven world, where success is measured in numbers. And the human, purpose-driven world, where real impact is measured in connection. At first, I thought these were opposing forces. Over time, I realised they were not.

Both are built on the same foundation: the desire to do work that matters, to feel valued, and to create real impact.

That realisation is what led me to create Emotive Work. A space where resilience, culture, and human connection come together to help people and businesses thrive. Not just perform.

I have worked across Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond, across high-pressure sectors including aviation, hospitality, healthcare, law, pharmaceuticals, financial and corporate services. I have sat with leaders who are exhausted but unwilling to admit it. I have worked with teams who have lost their sense of why. And I have seen what happens when organisations get intentional about culture and resilience: things shift. People show up differently. The work gets better.

That is what Emotive Work exists to do.

I wanted to live a life of purpose and do work that matters, knowing that I was creating impact in my sphere of influence.

What I bring:

Lived Experience, Not Just Theory

I do not teach resilience from a textbook. I have navigated my own challenges, worked in demanding environments across the globe, and spent years developing my own frameworks and language that make the data and research more practical and real.

The Intersection of Resilience and Culture

Most consultants work in one space or the other. Emotive Work works at the intersection. That means we understand how individual resilience and organisational culture influence each other, and how to build both in a way that creates lasting change.

Accredited, Evidence-Based Practice

Everything we deliver is grounded in research. As a certified Resilience First Aid Instructor, PR6 certified coach, and Human Synergistics LSI Accredited Practitioner, I bring both the science and the human touch to every engagement.

A Global Perspective, A Practical Approach

Having worked with over 100 organisations and thousands of individuals across multiple countries, I understand how people, businesses, and systems operate on a global scale. I bring that perspective into every room I work in, while keeping the work grounded, practical, and relevant to your world.
